‘Breeze’ Dating App – Is It That Easy?
Imagine a dating app where you can’t actually message each other once you match, but instead, the next step is the date itself. Breeze promises to change the game by skipping the endless chats and focusing on real-life dates. No more swiping fatigue – just actual meetups with potential matches. One of our Lurve spies spent some time testing it out, and here’s her lowdown on whether it’s worth your time:

The relatively new Breeze app is one where you are given under 10 potential matches a day, every day of the week at 7pm, followed by a few more profiles to give you additional options. Unfortunately, you are unable to filter the characteristics of your potential partner, so when I matched with Harry I went by my first impressions and what was written on his profile. His profile captured my attention with the mention of wanting to meet his “queen”. There was something deeply committed about it. In addition, he mentioned his interest in learning and performing magic tricks. I liked that he had hobbies and was dedicated to learning and self-development.
We matched and then each had to make a payment to confirm we were happy to go on a date with each other. Afterwards, we were given the opportunity to book a date. I was shown the dates Harry had picked, and he was shown mine, and we arranged a date based on our mutual availability. Once the date was set, Breeze notified us of the location in London we would meet. Breeze has a list of associated date venues (bars/restaurants) that users can choose from for their meetings. In our case it was Big Penny Social in Blackhorse Lane, East London—a vibrant yet quaint venue with a dedicated section for people on dates that evening. On the day of the date, two hours before our meeting time, the lines of communication opened between Harry and I. I messaged him to let him know I was on my way and would be slightly late. When I arrived I met him just inside by the entrance, and we hugged. Once we’d said our hellos and taken in each other’s physical appearance (might I add… I did like the look of Harry), we got over our initial shyness and headed to the bar for our complementary Breeze drink.
We hit it off straight away and had plenty to talk about. Toward the end of the date, Harry whipped out his cards and showed me a few magic tricks, which I thought was adorable—he was actually pretty good! At the end of the date we kissed and exchanged numbers. Our connection grew stronger, and soon, we were seeing each other for date nights twice a week after our initial Breeze date.
Unfortunately, we broke up after three months of dating. But I don’t believe that’s where our story ends…
I think Breeze is a great dating app! I like the concept of being presented with fewer options, all of whom are looking for a relationship. The payment system for setting up a date ensures that both parties are serious about meeting, reducing time-wasting and lessens the chance of being ghosted. If you’re truly intentional, there are endless possibilities to meet your forever person. I would definitely recommend Breeze to friends and have already done so.
Give it a try for yourself.
