Twine – The Dating/Networking App That Puts Personality First
It’s the old age question: which is more important – personality or looks? Obviously a balanced person usually needs both to be in play, but let’s face it; in this age looks are worshipped and can off-set a lack of personality.
Anyway in short, Twine is a 3 month old app already causing quite a bit of a commotion in its short existence. Its algorithms check for age, geographical location and mutual interests in order to make suitable profile matches.
An app of this style lends itself to people who want to make a real connection, a cerebral one, not an “I’ll bring the handcuffs and you bring the feather duster kind”. No more falling in love with a ‘picture’ and an attached fantasy.
What I like about the idea behind the app is that you are forced to interact with like-minded people and their/your appearance can’t be a deterrent, well not at first anyway.
I figure that the more honest you are here, the better the outcome, so it pays to be exactly who you say you are with Twine otherwise you won’t be able sustain a connection… you won’t want to.
